We recommend having your system serviced routinely, usually before winter and before summer. In servicing your system you're doing your part to ensure it works on the hot or cold days, keeping you comfortable in the changeable Melbourne weather. At a service visit we check the refrigerant levels, system operations and mechanical functions as well as clean the system's filters for you. If we find there is a build-up of grime on the coil we will offer to put a chemical wash through the system to remove the build-up. This also cleans the drainage line which may have a build-up of debris inside, this could cause the system to leak water when in use. The chemical washing usually is performed for an additional fee. As refrigeration mechanics we are licensed to handle refrigerant gas so if we find the refrigerant gas levels are low we can regas your system if necessary. We are also able to assess any electronic issues the system may have. We are always keen to repair a system rather than replace it, and are specialists at trouble-shooting. We're not into "soup-stone" repairs though. We will tell you if we think a system is not viable to repair and if required we can replace the unit for you. We can service and repair any brand, although there are some brands that may no longer have parts available in Australia. In this case we can explain to you the different options available to you. We also offer prompt service for real estate agents and investment property owners attending to tenants concerns in a timely manner. We also offer after hours appointments for tenants who are unable to be present during business hours. Work orders can be emailed to us with the tenants details. We will contact the tenants to arrange a convenient time with them to assess and then quote on any work that is required. If we receive a go-ahead we will arrange the repair visit as soon as possible to help alleviate the tenant's discomfort as much as possible. There may be a wait on parts as many air conditioning companies have their parts distribution in NSW or SA. | We charge a standard service fee of $220 incl GST for a residential property where there is an existing air conditioner that needs to be assessed. The reason for this fee is that a technician needs to visit the property and take tools and possibly a ladder to assess the system, we have to charge for his time and travel costs. We offer free quotes only for new air conditioners to be installed in a property. We also service and repair existing gas heating systems and perform safety checks including carbon monoxide testing. |
